Join us in congratulating Beau Bryant, Wealth Advisor for Resolute Wealth Advisor, on earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional certification and the right to use the CFP® marks!

Beau recently passed the CFP® Certification Examination and met other requirements needed to earn the designation. We’re thrilled to recognize this significant achievement and Beau’s hard work!

What’s involved in becoming a CFP® professional?

Over three thousand test-takers across the country registered for the CFP® Certification Examination last month alone.

This exam is the culmination of the CFP® study program, which normally takes one to two years to complete. Candidates need to pass the exam and also fulfill the education, ethics, and experience components – including at least 6,000 hours of professional experience related to financial planning or 4,000 hours of apprenticeship experience – to become newly-minted CFPs.®

The exam tests knowledge of several required study areas, such as:

  • Professional Conduct and Regulation
  • General Principles of Financial Planning
  • Education Planning
  • Risk Management and Insurance Planning
  • Investment Planning
  • Tax Planning
  • Retirement Savings and Income Planning
  • Estate Planning
  • Financial plan development (capstone) course
